‘Because of the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.’ Luke 1:78-9
There is so much darkness in our world now it is hard to imagine the way of peace, yet the promise of God’s mercy persists and we are encouraged to watch for the dawn. In Tabeetha School in Jaffa, where I am one of the chaplains, children from Christian, Muslim and Jewish backgrounds learn together. Their friendships are a glimmer of a new day dawning.
